Hi, my name is Jan Doms. I hope to blog here from time to time, about programming and computer science related topics.

I’m an electrical engineer by education, and have been active as a software engineer since 2009.

I started as a full stack developer, using C# .NET and javascript, for about 4 years.

After that I’ve done 5 years of distributed system programming (see arakoon & alba), using mostly OCaml, and a bit of bash/python/C++ where needed.

Currently I’m helping develop a supply chain management system.

My interests in computer science related topics range from distributed systems, big data, stream processing, (virtual) actors, statically typed functional programming languages, dependently typed languages, machine learning, storage, databases & file systems, to functional reactive programming.
